The Greens' Warkworth Renovation

A character-filled renovation brought together through colour, texture and a confident mix of old and new.

Designed by Asha Payton and the Little & Fox interior design team for Art and Matilda Green, the Warkworth home brings a distinctly personal approach to contemporary family living – layered, expressive and designed around the way the family actually lives.

Hawthorne pieces feature throughout the home, forming a considered foundation across the living, dining and bedroom spaces.

01 · The Project Built through layers

Rather than working towards a single prescribed look, the interior has been built through layers.

Warm walnut tones sit against khaki and moss. Caramel leather brings richness alongside relaxed upholstery, while artwork, pattern and more expressive pieces give each room its own identity.

The result is cohesive without feeling overly coordinated – a home where individual pieces have been selected for the role they play within each space.

02 · A Warmer Palette One common thread

The palette moves between earthy greens, oatmeal, walnut and caramel, creating a common thread throughout the house.

In the living spaces, the relaxed proportions of the Lotus Slipcover Collection establish a softer foundation, while swivel and accent chairs introduce contrasting shapes, colour and texture.

Walnut Brown carries through into the dining area, grounding the space and connecting it visually with the richer tones used elsewhere in the home.

03 · Designed for Real Life A practical family home

Behind the visual story is a practical family home.

Furniture needed to work hard – generous enough for everyday living, adaptable across different spaces and comfortable without sacrificing the character Little & Fox wanted to create.

It is where the collaboration feels particularly natural.

Rather than specifying Hawthorne as a complete furniture scheme, Little & Fox has incorporated individual pieces into a much broader interior story – mixing them with colour, pattern, artwork, custom elements and pieces collected elsewhere.

The home feels considered, but never overly finished.

04 · The Hawthorne Edit A grounded furniture layer

Hawthorne pieces feature across the living, dining and bedroom spaces, including the Lotus Slipcover Sofa and Armchair, Ferguson Swivel Chair, Harris Accent Chair, Max Swivel Chair, Vaasa Oak Dining Table, Oslo Barstools and Cooper Dining Chairs.

Together, they create a grounded furniture layer that allows the more expressive elements of the interior to come forward.
